Ginny Gilder is an Olympic silver medalist and a pioneering figure for women in sports, particularly within the rowing community during the Title IX era. A graduate of Yale University, she famously participated in the 1976 Women’s Crew “strip-in” protest to demand equal facilities for female athletes, a landmark moment in the history of college sports. Her athletic career is highlighted by a bronze medal at the 1983 World Championships and a silver medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Gilder has established herself as a successful business leader and entrepreneur. She serves as the CEO of Gilder Office for Growth, a boutique investment advisory firm, and is a co-owner of the WNBA’s Seattle Storm. Her memoir, Course Correction: A Story of Rowing and Resilience in the Wake of Title IX, chronicles her personal and professional journey, illustrating her lifelong commitment to equity and excellence.
