Write the Book That Gets Published

For memoirists, fiction and nonfiction writers, and entrepreneurs ready to create a book with real market potential and lasting reach.

Inside the Lucinda Literary Academy, you’ll find the guidance and publishing insight most writers spend years trying to piece together on their own. Through live events, online courses, expert feedback, and practical resources, we help writers shape stronger concepts, refine manuscripts and proposals, build the author platform publishers expect, and understand what literary agents are actually looking for in today’s competitive market.

Whether you’re developing an early idea, revising a draft, or preparing to query, the Academy gives you direct access to literary agents and Lucinda Literary experts with decades of experience working with New York Times bestselling authors, Big Five publishers, and emerging voices across categories.

You don’t need to guess what matters most or spend years navigating the process alone. We help you identify what’s working, what needs strengthening, and what steps will make your work ready for submission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I start?

We recommend starting with Get Signed to better understand the publishing process, then booking a Private Consultation so we can evaluate your project, goals, and next best steps.

Is a finished manuscript or proposal required to participate?

No. We support authors at every stage, from concept to final draft.

What if I don’t have time to write the book myself?

The Academy is for authors who intend to write their own book with professional guidance. If you have a strong idea but require writing support, see Collaborations.

What if I don’t have any material completed, and I’m considering different publishing options?

Our strategic guidance can strengthen your book idea and pitch very early in the process, and benefit you no matter the publishing path you take.

Do you offer payment plans for longer programs?

For larger programs like the Mastermind and Accelerators, we offer payment plans.

Can I move between services as my project evolves?

Absolutely. Many writers begin with a consultation and transition to immersive programs as their project develops.

Do I need to join the Academy to seek literary representation with Lucinda Literary?

No. We review submissions independently, whether or not a writer has participated in Academy programs. Participation does not guarantee representation or a book deal.
