An Immersive Editorial & Publishing Deep Dive
The VIP Half Day is a private 2.5-hour intensive for aspiring authors of all genres who are looking for focused editorial feedback, publishing insight, and meaningful momentum. Each session is fully customized around your goals, stage, and challenges, whether you’re developing an early idea, revising a manuscript, preparing a proposal, or getting ready to query.
Before your session, we review submitted materials—including manuscript excerpts, proposals, pitches, synopses, or query materials—so our time together can stay centered on high-impact discussion and strategy.
You’ll walk away with practical next steps, clearer positioning, and a stronger understanding of how to move your work forward in today’s publishing market.

The VIP Half Day includes a 2.5-hour private virtual session, advance review of up to 25 pages, and curated takeaways tailored to your project and publishing goals.
What can I submit for review?

How is feedback delivered?
Feedback is delivered verbally throughout the session and may include strategic recommendations, editorial direction, and actionable next steps tailored to your project.
Who will I work with?
Depending on the booking selection, writers may work with Lucinda Halpern, a literary agent, or a publishing expert from the Lucinda Literary Academy team.
What is the session format?
All VIP Half Days are conducted virtually over Zoom.
Will Lucinda Literary represent me if I book a VIP Half Day?
Working with a consultant does not guarantee or imply representation by Lucinda Literary, any other literary agency, or a future publishing deal. However, our consultants substantially strengthen the elements that agents and publishers evaluate most critically: a commercial idea, concept clarity, market positioning, proposal quality, narrative structure, and overall execution.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Because VIP Half Day sessions require substantial preparation and reserved time, all bookings are non-refundable. We appreciate advance notice for rescheduling requests.
Disclaimer: The VIP Half Day is a program provided by the Lucinda Literary Academy, which hosts educational services for writers. Participation does not guarantee or imply representation by Lucinda Literary, any other literary agency, or a future publishing deal.
