Fifteen years ago, I founded Lucinda Literary believing that great books needed thoughtful champions—and that writers deserved clarity in an often opaque industry. What I didn’t yet understand was how much publishing would teach me about patience, timing, rejection, and advocacy. These are the fifteen lessons I’ve learned from inside the business of books—and what I believe every writer deserves to know.
We were overjoyed to see Susan at her book launch event at Middle Collegiate Church in New York City, attended by almost 800 people, where Susan rocked the stage to a long standing ovation.
