JAUNIQUE SEALY is an experienced fiction collaborator and bestselling author under her Jayne Allen moniker for fiction. She has authored four novels, with another two under contract and was the selected collaborator with Malcolm D. Lee for The Best Man film and television franchise expansion into novels. She specializes in moving from blank page to pub date with high-quality manuscripts in one year or less.

A graduate of Harvard Law School and Duke University, Jaunique practiced as an attorney in the music industry for 8 years prior to turning to a career in entrepreneurship and ultimately publishing. She has significant experience working with high-level artist talent, including Prince and Lady Gaga, and has a keen understanding of the unique demands of high-profile temperaments and schedules with an ability to efficiently meet goals and deadlines in the midst of competing priorities and tight timelines.

Her first books were self-published non-fiction and her first novels, including the bestselling Black Girls Must Die Exhausted were acquired in a four-book deal by HarperCollins. Her books have been reviewed by the New York Times Book Review, and a host of other top-tier platforms. She is on the Authors Guild Council and is a strong proponent of increasing availability of diverse perspectives in storytelling.

Jaunique is also the founder and lead instructor for the Book Genius online writing and publishing course that since 2020, has taught over 100 students how to conceptualize, write, edit, and publish their own books. She is fluent in French, proficient in Spanish and has a propensity for comedy as she is a hobbyist standup comic when her schedule allows.
