Edith Shiro

Dr. Edith Shiro is a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of the Trauma and Resilience Center. Based in Miami, Florida, she specializes in the assessment and treatment of trauma, post-traumatic stress, and post-traumatic growth.

Recognized as a leading expert in the field of post-traumatic growth, Dr. Shiro is a frequent speaker at international conferences, universities, and community centers, and is a regular contributor to television and radio programs.

Dr. Shiro earned her doctorate from Yeshiva University in New York. She completed post-doctoral training and certification in Family Therapy at the Ackerman Institute and received specialized certification in psychological trauma and PTSD from New York University’s International Trauma Studies program.
