Ellen Cohen

Forthcoming Author of Ben and Blue: Searching for Lucky #3002 (Red Chair Press, 2024)

Dr. Ellen Cohen is a psychiatrist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and a board member of the New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Before pursuing her medical degree, she graduated from Barnard College as a creative writing major—a background that continues to inform her work as an author.

Her short stories and poetry have been featured in the Nancy Drew Anthology (Silver Birch Press), An Assortment of Animals (The Writers’ Loft), and Friends and Anemones: Ocean Poems for Children. Most recently, her poetry appeared in the 2023 collection Gnomes and Ungnomes: Poems for Hidden Creatures. Dr. Cohen’s debut middle-grade novel, Ben & Blue: Searching for Lucky #3002, was published by Red Chair Press in 2024. She lives near Boston with her husband.
