Julien Saunders is the co-creator of the award-winning personal finance blog, rich & REGULAR, which he launched alongside his wife, Kiersten. Together, they have been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Glamour Magazine, and the documentary Playing with FIRE. Through creative storytelling and a touch of humor, Julien pushes the boundaries of traditional personal finance by exploring how culture, societal norms, and systemic structures influence our relationship with money.

Before pivoting to the financial sector, Julien spent over twenty years in the hospitality industry. He brings a multifaceted perspective to his work, holding degrees in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, and Marketing. His approach encourages readers to re-evaluate their assumptions and lean into uncomfortable conversations to achieve financial clarity.

In June 2022, Julien and Kiersten released their book, Cashing Out: Win the Wealth Game by Walking Away, published by Penguin Group. The work serves as a guide for professionals—particularly those from underrepresented communities—to redefine success and build a life that isn’t tethered solely to a traditional career path.
